What is the Coco 1?

Coco 1 is Coco Robotics' four wheeled, remotely piloted sidewalk delivery robot, announced in December 2021 as a Segway-built successor to the company's original prototype, with a 90 liter cargo capacity (about six extra large pizzas or four grocery bags), a three mile delivery radius, and a top speed of 5 mph. Coco robots are monitored and driven by human tele-operators rather than running fully autonomously. The company brought its robots to Chicago in December 2024, launching a fleet of 50 units serving the West Loop, River West, and Fulton Market neighborhoods, alongside existing operations in Los Angeles, Miami, and Jersey City.
