Privacy

Effective July 31, 2026.

This page describes what this site actually collects, which is little.

The alerts form

When you sign up for robot alerts, the site stores your email address and, if you filled it in, the note you wrote. The submission also records your browser’s user agent string and a one way hash of your IP address. The raw IP address is not stored; the hash exists to control abuse.

Submissions are rate limited by IP address through Upstash, a hosted service. The rate limiter holds the IP only for the duration of its short window.

The email list is used to send the alerts you signed up for, and for nothing else.

Trackers

The site sets no advertising trackers and loads no third party analytics scripts. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Hosting

The site runs on Vercel. Like any host, Vercel keeps standard server logs (requests, IP addresses, timestamps) to operate the platform.

Deletion

To have your email removed from the alerts list and deleted, use the channel described on the contact page. Deletion requests are applied to the same database the form writes to.
