What is the Avride Delivery Robot?
Avride's sidewalk delivery robot is a compact, four wheeled autonomous courier that carries up to 25 kg of cargo in a lockable, modular compartment, travels up to 8 km/h with a 50 km range per charge, and uses lidar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors on an NVIDIA Jetson Orin platform for 360 degree awareness. The robots run on Uber Eats and began operating in Austin and Dallas in late 2024 before launching in downtown Jersey City, New Jersey, in February 2025, Avride's third US delivery market.
