What this is

Monitor the Robots is a monitoring desk for the robotics industry. It tracks robots, the companies that build them, funding rounds, and deployment events. Every record on this site is tied to a cited source.

The site is built as an instrument rather than a blog. Robot and company pages are dossiers assembled from tracked events, and the news pages are written from those same records.

How it is produced

An automated watch pipeline monitors public sources and surfaces candidate events. A scoring step ranks them. Publication now runs through verification gates, and the checker at a gate is never the maker that produced the draft. Some records publish automatically after an independent model check, with unverified high-stakes figures held back; others carry a human curator’s approval. The audit log records which. Records published before the gates landed in mid-July 2026 predate them.

Articles here carry the byline “Monitor the Robots Desk”. The desk is the editorial pipeline described above, named honestly as a desk. It is not a pen name for an invented reporter, and this page does not list a staff that does not exist.
