The Flytrex Sky2 is an octocopter delivery drone that raises Flytrex's payload capacity to 8.8 pounds, or about 4 kilograms, roughly a third more than its predecessor, enough to carry two large pizzas, bread bites, and a drink in one trip. It runs on a dual battery architecture with GNSS and RTK positioning for centimeter level navigation, an extended 4 mile delivery radius, and an AI enabled flight management system, completing an average delivery in about 4.5 minutes from takeoff by lowering orders on a tether rather than dropping them. Flytrex rolled the Sky2 out through a partnership with Little Caesars starting at a store in Wylie, Texas, and paired the launch with a new drone manufacturing and maintenance facility in Pilot Point, Texas as it builds toward 60 delivery sites across the Dallas Fort Worth area by mid-2027.
