What is the XPeng IRON?

IRON is XPeng's next-generation humanoid robot, unveiled at the company's AI Day event in Guangzhou on November 5, 2025. It stands 178 centimeters tall, weighs 70 kilograms, and has 22 degrees of freedom per hand for fine manipulation, built with a flexible spine, synthetic muscle actuation, and full-body soft skin over solid-state batteries that XPeng says are an industry first for a humanoid. IRON is powered by three of XPeng's in-house Turing AI chips and is aimed at roles like guidance, sales assistance, and inspection, with mass production targeted for late 2026.
