What is the Apollo?

Apollo is Apptronik's general purpose humanoid robot, unveiled on August 23, 2023 in Austin, Texas, following the company's decade of prior work building robots including NASA's Valkyrie. It stands about 1.73 meters tall, weighs around 72.5 kilograms, can lift roughly 25 kilograms, and runs on hot-swappable batteries rated for about 4 hours each. Apollo is piloting inside Mercedes-Benz's Digital Factory Campus in Berlin-Marienfelde and its Kecskemet plant in Hungary on intralogistics tasks such as delivering parts and kits, backed by a Mercedes-Benz equity investment and a Google DeepMind AI partnership.
