What is the ANYmal?
ANYmal is ANYbotics' quadruped robot for autonomous inspection of industrial facilities, walking at up to 0.75 meters per second, carrying up to 10 kilograms of additional sensor payload, and running for roughly 2 to 4 hours before autonomously docking to recharge. It is IP67 rated and carries LiDAR, depth cameras, and thermal and acoustic sensors to inspect gauges, valves, and equipment in plants across the chemical, energy, and mining industries. The explosion-proof ANYmal X variant has been deployed at BASF's Ludwigshafen site in Germany to inspect Ex-zone equipment in the Steamcracker and Oxo Plant.
